Frequently asked questions.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance.

Is there a sliding scale?

I do have a sliding scale for clients with financial need.

Do I need to be diagnosed with ADHD?

No, you can reach out to me even if you suspect you may have ADHD. Together we can explore whether this diagnosis is correct and what else may be going on for you.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can refer yourself.

Do you work with other disorders or diagnoses?

I am licensed to provide generalized therapy, but I have specialized in ADHD and other neurodivergent disorders such as autism and people who have concurrent disorders with ADHD such as anxiety and mood disorders.

Do you work with substance abuse disorders?

While substance use disorders are common among individuals with ADHD and I am licensed to provide generalized therapy, ethically I cannot treat the substance use disorder as that is outside my scope of practice and expertise. While I have training and experience treating most mental health disorders, I have extremely limited experience with substance abuse. My code of ethics is clear that I must be aware of my own limitations with regards to expertise in treatment. Those with substance use disorders may still contact me for treatment of their ADHD so long as they are also in a concurrent substance use treatment so that I would be able to work closely with the other provider to ensure ethical, responsible and appropriate treatment.

Can you work with people outside the state of Pennsylvania?

As I am only licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania, you must be physically present in Pennsylvania for our sessions.

However, earlier in 2025 House Representative Aerion Abney introduced a bill in the State House for Pennsylvania to become a compact state for Clinical Social Workers. On June 4th, it passed the State House and is now making its way through the Senate. I am hopeful that by the end of this year, I will have an updated list of states where my license is valid.
